Are You Over-stimulated?

Filed under: General — Wayne Taylor @ 3:17 pm

This modern world is full of busyness; we are definitely an over-stimulated generation.   Cable television has well over 1000 stations for us to choose from, and the Internet has millions of websites.  When we travel, we carry our cell phones and our laptop computers.  No longer does a cell phone only make and receive calls, it also has an electronic organizer, games, a calculator, a clock, a calendar, and internet access — it can even take photos and make videos!  Pretty soon our cell phones will wash the dishes and make our beds! Are You a Manly Man?

Filed under: General — Wayne Taylor @ 8:53 pm

What does it mean to be a manly man? Many people today, even preachers in Christian churches, present ultimate manliness as conquering others. To them, a good example of manliness would be Samson. Church Membership

Filed under: General — Wayne Taylor @ 3:07 pm

The church that all of us should make sure we are members of is the one described in Hebrews, “But you have come…to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven” (Hebrews 12:22a-23a). Registered literally means “written down on a list; engraved on a registry; enrolled.” This roll in heaven is called “the Lamb’s Book of Life” (Revelation 21:27), and is definitely the list where you need your church membership engraved. You might be on the rolls of various churches you’ve attended, you may have joined and become a member of a local congregation, but the big question is, “When the roll is called up yonder will you be there?” Read Entire Post…
