We have heard a lot about the Persian Gulf region in recent years, which has one of the hottest climates on earth.  Bahrain is a very small nation of islands in the Persian Gulf, comprised of only 253 square miles with a population of 700,000.  That is less than 1/5 the size of Long Island, about the size of Washington's Whidbey and Camano Islands.  Approximately 92% of Bahrain is desert, with  temperatures rising to over 120 degrees Fahrenheit....(click to read more)
