Jasmine Martinez:

"Facing Our Own Need for Forgiveness so We Can Grant Forgiveness to Others"

Jasmine lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her husband, Eric, and their two small children. She and Eric are joyfully expecting their third baby in late October. They attend Calvary of Albuquerque. She enjoys writing and sharing her story of how the Lord rescued her and called her out of darkness- believing that our pain doesn't have to be in vain, thanks to Jesus. Jasmine feels compelled to be transparent with other women, not only with the abuse and tragedies that have occurred in her life, but also share the truth about her own personal struggles through various sins along with the restoration and forgiveness that the Lord has shown her. 

Jasmine created and facilitates, "Farewell Masquerade", an all-women’s Facebook page where women from all over the country can share their hearts, ask for prayer, and express their struggles/victories even when it comes to "unspeakable sins". The premise of the page is to encourage women to not live in isolation; keeping their sin in darkness and shame, but rather to take off their masks and realize that they are a part of the Body. Together we can be real and support, challenge, and encourage each other Biblically.

 

Teresa Rinker:

"Learning How to Extend Forgiveness When Others Have Sinned Against Us"

Teresa's life has held many joys, challenges and sorrows and through it all she brings a message of hope, humor and a fresh reminder of God's loving faithfulness. She loves the Lord Jesus and sharing God's Word with women is her passion. 

Teresa and her husband Scott live on beautiful Samish Island in the Skagit Valley and together they have six wonderful children and five precious wee grands! 

She is one of the women's Bible Study teachers here at Calvary and our Calvary women's retreat is her FAVORITE of all! Teresa is also a director with Healing Hearts Ministries International, a Biblical counseling organization. www.healinghearts.org

 

Michelle Taylor:

"Carrying on After You've Failed/Extending Forgiveness When Criticized"

Michelle lives in a lovely little neighborhood of Seattle with her husband Jordan and their daughter Aurelia; they are expecting their second baby this October. They took over a small church plant this past June, and have loved being a part of their new church family. 
She is currently the Dean of Women at CCBC Seattle, and loves having the opportunity to pour into the students there.

 

Cathy Taylor:

"Finding Our Full & Redemptive Forgiveness from God"

Cathy Taylor is the very proud mother of 4 adult children, three of whom are newly married and extremely proud grandmother of Aurelia. She has a passion for women to know how powerful the Blood of Jesus is to forgive and "cleanse from all unrighteousness", the starting point of all innocence and goodness. She is on CF's Women's Thursday AM/PM teaching team.

 

Nancy Aguilar

"Let Us Draw Near with a True Heart in Full Assurance of Faith"

Nancy and her husband Ray live in Lake Forest Park. They are the blessed parents of two adult sons, one dear daughter-in-law, and another dear daughter-in-law-to-be (in June). Nancy is an editor and writer, and she loves spending time with the women in her church family at Calvary.

One of Calvary's big goals is not only to reach but to equip and send out our youth in the mission that God has for them.

Over the past summers we've sent thousands of youth on life-changing summer camps. We believe that God uses the unique setting of getting away with the students to radically effect their lives and sense of purpose.

Each summer we also send out teams of young missionaries to sahre the gospel of Jesus. This year teams are going to Nicaragua and England.

The upcoming auction is our cheif means of raising money for the two aspects of our youth outreach. We're thankful for your participation knowing that it's not only going to be a fun time, but we're partnering in touching the lives of our young people.

This summer, bring your children to SonRise National Park Wilderness Adventure VBS. Save the date of Monday, July 30 – Thursday, August 2, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.  Four year olds through 5^th grade will discover the most important survival skill of all: they can always depend on Jesus and His promises of true peace, true riches, true power and true love. You can register below

Our goal for the 24-5 retreats is to help the kids build relationships with each other, their leaders and ultimately their loving Heavenly Father. They will learn about faith in a fun-packed environment and treated to the great teachings of awesome pastors and speakers from around our area.

We will be leaving from the YAC room on August 6th at 12 noon, so make sure your kids eat lunch before leaving. We will have dinner when we arrive at camp. We will arrive home on August 11th at around 6pm.

The cost is $325. Early registration is $275 if you register before June 30th. Late registration starts July 15th, and the price goes up to $350 so be sure to register your high-schooler as soon as you can! The registration deposit is $25 and is part of the total cost. You can register below and pay by credit card.

We will need you to sign and notarize a permission slip authorizing our staff to OK medical treatment for your teenager. You can download and print the form here. Please fill it out and deliver it to the YAC room.
