The Home groups of Calvary Fellowship have three goals:

1) To provide a venue for the fulfillment of the "one another" statements in Scripture

The church is not an event or a building but a community of people. Much of what it means to be a people of love cannot happen, or at least cannot be restricted to a Sunday Service. Home groups more naturally facilitate and demonstrate that love.

2) To maintain unity within the family of churches that make up Calvary Fellowship

Calvary Fellowship is a family of separate campuses throughout Seattle but it is one church. One of the ways that we maintain the unity of being one church is by allowing our home groups to cross-pollinate between campuses. This also allows us to have better coverage of the neighborhoods of Seattle.

3) To increase the impact of the Bible on our lives

We are told not just to be hearers of the word but doers. There is a tendency to leave the Sunday sermons behind when we leave the church. The impact of the word is greatly increased through being part of a home group. Home groups add four advantages to increase the impact of the bible on our lives:

• Discussion
• Personal Prayer
• Specific Application
• Accountability

We also provide a simple curriculum (links to the right) based on the scriptures we cover weekly for the home groups to use as a guide for discussion.
