Tabitha Ministry

Tabitha:

Inspired by the disciple in Acts who was, “…always doing good and helping the poor” (Acts 9:36), this ministry offers practical help, such as home-cooked meals, for those who are in the midst of great difficulty, whether it be the loss of a loved one, a chronic/terminal illness, or other such period of difficulty. For more information, or to volunteer for this ministry, contact the Tabitha Ministry at: tabithaministrycf@gmail.com

Food Bank

Food Bank:

Open Sundays from 12:30 PM in the upper campus church library (just northwest of the main building). Not open on the fifth Sunday of each month, or following major holidays. For more information, or to donate food, contact Amber Callahan at 206-226-0504.

Overcomers

Overcomers:

Our Mission: To equip people to walk in daily victory over sin, addiction and negative life-controlling habits by encouraging them to actively seek a vibrant and healthy relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus said in John 8:12, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”

How do we overcome? Jesus said. "It is not the healthy who need a doctor but the sick, for I have not come to call the righteous but sinners.”
By recognizing that we are in need of a Savior and Healer we willingly surrender to His diagnosis and care. By inviting Jesus Christ (The Great Physician) to direct every area of our lives, He gives us the power and the will to overcome that which holds us back. "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).

Where and when do we meet? We meet Friday nights 7:30 to 9:30pm in the Calvary Fellowship library located in the upper campus just next to the post office.

What do we do? Our meetings are made up of four parts: FELLOWSHIP, WORSHIP, STUDY OF GOD’S WORD, OPEN SHARING & ACCOUNTABILITY

John 21:6

“Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me? He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus Said, Take care of my sheep.”

Renewal

Renewal Ministry:

The Renewal Group supports those who suffer with chronic pain, illness and mental illness. It is for those who not only need support, but for those who desire to be inwardly renewed and encouraged through prayer, fellowship, worship and bible study in their daily struggles with pain and illness. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays at 7pm in the Main Office of Calvary. Currently, we are studying the book of Job. Contact Julia Fenton at juliacfenton@yahoo.com for more information.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. -2 Corinthians 4:16

Comforter

Comforter Ministry:

We started a new ministry in 2010, which involves women and men who have a heart to comfort the sick & dying among us. This requires an occasional visit to a nearby home or hospital to visit one in a crisis. Medical workers are especially gifted for this intense type of ministry. We have a team of a dozen caring people ready to visit all the Puget Sound Area Hospitals. Please contact us at comfort@calvaryfellowship.org
